NSSA, UAESA discuss cooperation

Transportation and Telecommunications Minister Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, held a virtual meeting with UAE Minister of State for Advanced Technology, Chairwoman of the Emirates Scientists Council (ESC) Sarah Al Amiri.

The National Space Science Agency (NSSA) CEO Dr. Mohamed Ebrahim Al Aseeri and advisor of the United Arab Emirates Space Agency (UAESA) Ibrahim Hamza Al Qasim, were present.

The minister praised the relations between the two countries and the growing cooperation in the fields of space science and the UAE’s experience in this rapidly growing sector, in addition to the achievements it had accomplished in the field.

Al Amiri praised, in cooperation with the NSSA, activating the agreements linking the UAESA and the NSSA which aim to promote the growth of the space sector in the two countries.

They discussed joint satellite project and the latest developments related to its launch date, training opportunities in a number of fields related to space science and technology, and future projects.

The NSSA’s CEO emphasized that cooperation between the two sides is developing steadily and contributes to achieving the vision of the two countries’ and to development and prosperity.
