NPRA Participates in GCC Directors General of Passports 39th Meeting

Manama: The Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) took part in the 39th meeting of the Directors General of Passports from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, held in Saudi Arabia. Bahrain's delegation was led by Brigadier Abdulaziz Al Dussairi, the Assistant Undersecretary for Ports, Search and Follow-Up.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on monitoring the implementation of decisions made by Their Highnesses and Ministers of Interior. These were based on previous meetings' outcomes and recommendations, along with discussions on topics of mutual interest.

The attendees reviewed the latest progress by the joint working team on the unified GCC tourist visa. They also discussed initiatives and proposals submitted by the delegations, which aim to improve coordination and cooperation in migration and passport matters among GCC nations.

The Bahraini delegation included Lieutenant Colonel Fawaz Nasser Al Jeeran, the Director of Ports and Passports representative, and Major Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Director of the Passports.
