Manama: Ali Abdulhussain Al Asfoor, Northern Governor, inaugurated the seventh edition of the summer programme for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, themed "Our Nation and Our King Unite Us." The programme is designed to offer comprehensive support through various educational, recreational, therapeutic, and developmental activities.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Governor expressed gratitude to Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi, Minister of Social Development, for his support in the initiative. He praised the strong collaboration between the Ministry and the Bahrain Autistic Society, which has been instrumental in crafting this inclusive programme.
Al Asfoor emphasized that the initiative aims to improve adaptive behaviour, enhance communication skills, and minimize repetitive behaviours among children with autism. This reflects a shared commitment to delivering top-notch services and support for individuals on the autism spectrum.
The Governor also acknowledged the vital role played by families and the active participation of parents, which significantly boosts the effectiveness of such community-driven initiatives.
