National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s President Ali Ahmed Al Derazi received Philippines’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs Sarah Lou Arriola.
Al Derazi praised the bilateral relations and stressed the important contributions of the Filipino community in the Kingdom.
The meeting discussed NIHR’s efforts to support human rights for expatriate workers, its follow-up to their conditions and ensure their availability under the provisions of the Constitution and relevant international and regional agreements.
Arriola expressed her appreciation for the great humanitarian efforts of the NIHR.
She praised the distinguished relations and wished Bahrain and its people continued progress and prosperity.
