NIHR Participates in APF and GANHRI Meetings in Geneva

Geneva: The National Institute for Human Rights (NIHR), represented by Chairman Ali Ahmed Al Derazi, participated in the Annual General Meeting of the Asia Pacific Forum of National Human Rights Institutions (APF), alongside NIHR's participation in the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI) meetings in Switzerland.

According to Bahrain News Agency, during the meeting, the performance report of the forum for 2024 was reviewed, gender goals in national institutions for 2024 were set, the financial report was approved, and the accreditation classification for forum members for this year was confirmed.

Al Derazi also participated in the Arab Network for National Human Rights Institutions (ANNHRI) Executive Committee Meeting, which addressed key topics related to the promotion and protection of human rights in the Arab region, reviewed the network's activities, and assessed progress in implementing its strategic plans.

NIHR's participation in these meetings underscores its commitment to enhancing regional and international cooperation, facilitating the exchange of experiences and best practices in human rights, and improving the policies and procedures adopted by participating institutions.
