The Arab Network for National Human Rights Institutions (ANNHRI), has organised, in cooperation with the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), a capacity-building dialogue workshop to develop competencies within national human rights institutions.
The workshop, held on the sidelines of the NIHR’s international conference, themed “The Impact of Human Activity on the Right to a Healthy and Adequate Environment: Practices, Challenges, and Solutions”, reviewed the national institutions’ work fundamentals and roles in promoting and protecting human rights on a national scale, as well as the mechanisms of United Nations offices’ work, and the cooperation between Arab national institutions and those offices.
