NIHR Chairman Meets with UNDP Resident Representative in Bahrain

Manama: Ali Ahmed Al Derazi, Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), welcomed Asmaa Shalabi, the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to Bahrain, to discuss collaborative initiatives.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions focused on plans for future joint training programs and workshops. These initiatives aim to facilitate skill development and capacity building, along with the exchange of expertise in the areas of human rights and sustainable development.

During the meeting, Shalabi acknowledged the efforts of NIHR in promoting human rights and supporting sustainable development. She expressed her commitment to strengthening cooperation between UNDP and NIHR, underscoring the importance of their collaborative work.
