Manama: Abdullah bin Nasser Al Nuaimi, CEO of the Nasser Centre for Science and Technology (NCST), received Abdullah Mohammed Alahmad, CEO of the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat). The meeting focused on exploring avenues for joint cooperation in research and development, particularly in artificial intelligence and advanced technologies.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussion addressed opportunities to enhance collaboration in knowledge exchange, training, and human capacity building. This aims to support Bahrain's scientific research ecosystem and develop specialized competencies capable of keeping pace with rapid technological transformations, in line with national strategies for employing AI and advanced technologies across sectors.
The two sides also discussed prospects for launching joint research and training initiatives and for exchanging expertise and knowledge between researchers and specialists. The goal is to integrate academic and applied research and produce high-quality outputs that support decision-making and future policy formulation based on scientific analysis.
This visit is part of efforts to expand partnerships among national institutions involved in research, development, and training. Both parties emphasized that institutional cooperation is a cornerstone for fostering an innovation-driven environment in Bahrain. This supports strategic objectives related to sustainable development and a knowledge-based economy, reinforcing the Kingdom's position as a regional hub for research, studies, and advanced technologies.
