Brussels: The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) condemned the Iranian targeting of the Republic of Trkiye and reaffirmed its firm support for all allies in addressing current security threats.
According to Bahrain News Agency, NATO spokesperson Allison Hart said in a statement that the alliance stands firmly with all allies, foremost among them Trkiye, amid the continued indiscriminate Iranian attacks in the region. She emphasised that NATO's deterrence and defence systems remain at the highest level of readiness across all domains, including air and missile defence.
Earlier, the Turkish Ministry of Defence announced that NATO air and missile defence elements stationed in the eastern Mediterranean had detected and neutralised ballistic munitions launched from Iran towards Turkish airspace.
