Manama: The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) launched 'Ask Amna', the first digital assistant for cybersecurity awareness in the Kingdom of Bahrain, during an event at Marassi Galleria attended by Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer of NCSC, and officials and specialists in cybersecurity awareness.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the AI powered digital assistant provides practical guidance to help users address cybersecurity risks and challenges in their daily lives. Users can ask cybersecurity related questions, learn about digital risks and security best practices, and check the reliability of links before opening them.
'Ask Amna' forms part of the 'Bu Rashid Family' initiative, the first AI powered Bahraini digital family for cybersecurity awareness, launched by NCSC under the slogan 'Cyber Awareness, A Way of Life'. The initiative uses characters and everyday situations to simplify cybersecurity concepts for different age groups and segments of society.
Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed highlighted the importance of continuing to develop cybersecurity awareness tools in line with rapid technological developments. He said modern digital solutions can help make cybersecurity knowledge more accessible to different segments of society.
He said the launch represents a further step in developing Bahrain's cybersecurity awareness ecosystem and noted that the use of artificial intelligence can make cybersecurity awareness more accessible, interactive and practical, supporting safer digital behaviour.
