National Commission for Childhood Celebrates World Children’s Day at The Avenues Mall


Manama: The National Commission for Childhood organised an event to mark World Children’s Day, with the participation of committee members and representatives from government, private, and civil society sectors. The event is being held from November 20-22 at The Avenues Mall.



According to Bahrain News Agency, Zeyad Adel Darwish, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development, stated that World Children’s Day, observed annually on November 20, is an opportunity to reiterate the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to protecting children’s rights and ensuring they grow up in a safe and supportive environment, in line with national laws and regulations.



He emphasized that the event aims to raise public awareness of children’s rights and their role within the family and society, while encouraging government, private, and civil society institutions to contribute to national initiatives and programmes for childhood development.



The event featured a variety of activities and programmes for children and young people, including an exhibition with educational stands and interactive stations, as well as awareness and health activities provided by participating organisations.
