Manama: On World Humanitarian Day, which is celebrated globally and in Bahrain on August 19 under the theme "Working for Humanity", His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, emphasized the day as a reflection of giving and solidarity with affected communities worldwide. He acknowledged the crucial role of humanitarian workers as a vital component in preserving human dignity and life.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Highness highlighted that under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Bahrain has established itself as a prominent figure in humanitarian work. The Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) has made significant strides in delivering aid and fostering goodwill across various nations globally.
He further pointed out that the continuous support and oversight of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, serves as a powerful incentive for RHF employees to persist in their charitable endeavors and meet their humanitarian obligations.
His Highness reiterated that the RHF remains committed to its mission of serving humanity through both local and international development projects as well as humanitarian and relief initiatives in numerous countries. He expressed pride in the commitment of all humanitarian workers and volunteers within Bahrain and beyond, noting that the Bahraini people are characterized by their enduring spirit of generosity and active partnership in the Kingdom's compassionate and philanthropic journey.
