Muslim Council of Elders Condemns Iranian Attack on Arab States

Abu dhabi: The Muslim Council of Elders strongly condemned the Iranian ballistic-missile attack that targeted several brotherly Arab states, affirming that these assaults constitute a dangerous escalation and a direct threat to the security and stability of the region.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Council noted that the attack targeted the Kingdom of Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

The Council affirmed its full solidarity with the Arab states that were targeted, stressing its absolute rejection of using the territories of states as arenas for settling scores or expanding conflicts, and warning of the grave consequences of such violations, which affect sovereignty and security and threaten the lives of civilians and vital infrastructure.

The Muslim Council of Elders called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and work to end the war and spare the region further wars and conflicts, emphasising the importance of restraint, wisdom, and recourse to serious dialogue and diplomatic solutions to preserve the security and stability of the region.
