Municipalities Minister Participates in 3rd Group Session of National Paths Programme

Manama: Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, participated in the third group session of the National Paths programme, organised by the Bahrain Institute for Political Development. Minister Al Mubarak reviewed the role of the ministry and its efforts in developing urban infrastructure, alongside national initiatives to strengthen food security and promote agricultural sustainability.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Al Mubarak emphasised that strengthening youth participation and empowerment in the municipal and agricultural sectors is a strategic priority aligned with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which support the role of young people in shaping the present and building the future. He noted that these efforts contribute to achieving the goals of Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030 and keeping pace with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The minister noted that the ministry attaches particular importance to youth as active partners in municipal and agricultural work, explaining that their involvement in shaping initiatives and programmes helps to reinforce youth engagement and fosters innovation in devising sustainable solutions to urban and environmental challenges.

He highlighted youth participation in the ministry's various initiatives, whether through municipal community partnership programmes, agricultural projects, food security initiatives, or the application of modern agricultural technologies.

Minister Al Mubarak underlined that the ministry's plans and strategic objectives are aligned with Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030 and the SDGs, ensuring continued progress in the municipal and agricultural sectors, enhancing their ability to keep pace with rapid developments, and meeting community aspirations. He affirmed that young talent is capable of driving development, advancing food security, and delivering tangible results.

He also commended the role of the Bahrain Institute for Political Development in preparing national programmes aimed at empowering youth, commending the quality of the discussions and the ideas presented by the participants, which reflected their national awareness and keenness to contribute effectively to serving the country.

For their part, the participating youth highlighted the development initiatives carried out by the ministry in the municipal and agricultural fields. They affirmed their pride in having the opportunity for direct dialogue with officials and in learning about the visions and plans that support the Kingdom's development towards a more prosperous future.
