Manama: Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, recently convened with members of the Association of Engineering Offices to discuss ongoing collaboration efforts aimed at bolstering the Kingdom's service and urban development sectors. Present at the meeting was Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Municipalities Affairs at the ministry.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister highlighted the ministry's dedication to strengthening cooperation with the association as part of a strategic partnership. This partnership is designed to contribute to sustainable development for citizens and investors, while also supporting urban development pathways. He emphasized the ministry's commitment to enhancing its services in collaboration with the private sector, particularly engineering offices, due to their significant role in supporting the construction and development sectors and advancing licensing mechanisms.
The discussion also covered the "Benayat" building permit issuance system, focusing on its recent improvements and developments. The meeting reviewed work indicators and the number of permits issued, aiming to enhance procedural efficiency, expedite transaction completion, and improve the quality of government services.
Faeq Al Mandeel, Chairman of the Association of Engineering Offices, stressed the importance of regular meetings to foster joint efforts, streamline procedures, and strengthen communication between the ministry and engineering offices. This collaboration is seen as vital to supporting the Kingdom's development process.
