Municipalities Minister and BCCI Chairman Discuss Strengthening Economic Cooperation

Manama: Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, recently met with Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Municipalities Affairs, and Asim Abdullatif Abdullah, Undersecretary for Agriculture and Livestock Affairs, alongside Nabeel Khalid Kanoo, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), and members of its Board of Directors.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Al Mubarak emphasized the ministry's dedication to enhancing collaboration with the BCCI to bolster economic growth and improve service quality for citizens, residents, and investors. He underscored the vital role of the private sector as a primary partner in driving sustainable development.

The minister reiterated the ongoing initiative to expand cooperation with the private sector, identifying the BCCI as a strategic ally in fostering a supportive business and investment climate. This partnership is seen as instrumental in achieving Bahrain's development objectives.

The meeting addressed several topics of shared interest and explored methods to further strengthen collaboration and coordination. The focus was on enhancing procedural efficiency, expediting transaction completion, and improving government service quality to support sustainable development initiatives.

Nabeel Khalid Kanoo, on his part, expressed gratitude to the minister, highlighting the significance of such meetings in enhancing communication and coordination between the ministry and the BCCI. He affirmed that stronger cooperation would aid the private sector, advance the business and investment climate, and contribute to Bahrain's developmental achievements.

During the meeting's sidelines, the BCCI chairman and board members toured the historic Manama Municipality building, known for its architectural significance reflecting Bahrain's rich municipal heritage. They also visited the Municipal Exhibition, which chronicles the history of municipal efforts in the Kingdom and highlights key milestones and achievements over the decades.
