Muharraq Governor Praises Royal Support During Ashoora Season

Muharraq: Salman bin Isa bin Hindi Al Mannai, Governor of Muharraq Governorate, commended the continued royal support accorded to the Ashoora season in the Kingdom of Bahrain during the annual meeting held by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, with heads and officials of Maatams (community centres) across the Kingdom's governorates. Governor Al Mannai noted that the support ensures the practice of religious rites in an atmosphere of freedom, reassurance, and security.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Muharraq Governor expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Interior, led by the Interior Minister, for the integrated services and facilities provided to ensure the success of the season with a high sense of awareness and national responsibility, reflecting Bahrain's spirit of community partnership. Governor Al Mannai also commended the role of Maatams in Muharraq Governorate, noting their historical legacy and strong national awareness in adhering to laws and regulations and preserving the religious and cultural character of the occasion.

The Muharraq Governor highlighted their rejection of any attempts to politicise the occasion or divert it from its religious and national context. Governor Al Mannai affirmed the governorate's commitment to continuing direct and ongoing coordination with Maatam Heads, security authorities, and service entities in the governorate to provide all necessary requirements and ensure the success of the season in a manner that reflects the values of solidarity, cooperation, and cohesion that have long characterised Bahraini society.
