Manama: Waleed Jaber Al Doseri, Member of the Council of Representatives and of the Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee, reaffirmed full support for the remarks of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, describing them as a firm roadmap to safeguard national interests and uphold responsible representation based on loyalty and genuine belonging.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Doseri expressed strong rejection and condemnation of statements by some parliament members who attempted to justify acts of treason against the nation. He said such positions represent a clear breach of national duty and a violation of the parliamentary oath to uphold loyalty to the nation and HM the King, respect the Constitution and laws, and defend the people’s interests.
He stressed that the Council of Representatives, as an elected body, does not accept the presence of any member who supports or defends treason. He said those who aligned themselves against the nation at a critical moment revealed their true positions, and that attempts to justify such actions under the pretext of freedom of expression constitute irresponsible and unpatriotic conduct.
Al Doseri said that HM the King’s firm stance on the Iranian attacks reflects the anger of the Bahraini people towards individuals who failed to fulfil their duty and instead sided with traitors rejected by public opinion. He added that these positions exposed hidden agendas and removed any ambiguity, stressing that failure to clearly condemn the Iranian attacks or attempts to justify them amount to acts of treason.
He supported HM the King’s position that such parliament members face two choices: to issue a clear apology that restores public trust, or to join those they chose to align with who have left the country or were expelled by final court rulings for acts of treason. He stressed that parliamentary membership is a responsibility and an honour that does not belong to those tainted by treason, and that there is no place for them in representing the people.
Al Doseri commended the Bahrain Defence Force and state institutions for their readiness and effectiveness in confronting the Iranian attacks and protecting national achievements and the interests of citizens.
He affirmed that the Bahraini people stand united behind the leadership of HM the King. He stressed that citizenship requires loyalty and commitment to national principles, and that those who violate these principles have no place in Bahrain.
