MP Ahmed Al Saloom Affirms HM King’s Stance, Rejects Justification of Treason

Manama: Ahmed Sabah Al Saloom, Member of the Council of Representatives, affirmed support for the remarks of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, noting that they reflect the will of the Bahraini people and express their position.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saloom said that treason is an unforgivable crime and that there is no place in the Council of Representatives for anyone who justifies or defends traitors. He stressed that representing the people requires loyalty, genuine belonging, and defence of national interests.

He said any member who violated the parliamentary oath and defended traitors has breached their duties and must bear the consequences. He added that the anger of the Bahraini people towards such irresponsible positions is justified.

Al Saloom noted the importance of safeguarding national principles, security, stability, and unity, particularly under current circumstances. He stressed that justifying or defending acts of treason is unacceptable at both parliamentary and national levels.

He emphasized that national interest comes above all. He said that parliament members must defend the nation and its people, not those who harmed the country, committed treason, and aligned with the enemy. He added that the Iranian attacks targeting Bahrain’s security, stability, and the safety of its people exposed those who betrayed the nation.

Al Saloom commended the readiness and efforts of the Bahrain Defence Force and security agencies in confronting the Iranian attacks and protecting national stability.
