Manama: Abdullah Al Rumaihi, Member of the Council of Representatives, affirmed that loyalty to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and support for the leadership approach of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, remain fundamental to stability, strength, and the authority of the state in Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Rumaihi commended the content of HM the King's remarks to the media, noting their emphasis on national unity and steadfast positions in support of Bahrain's security and stability. He rejected the actions of those who committed treason and attempts by some legislators to justify such acts, stressing that national principles are not subject to debate or political bargaining.
He said recent discussions require clear positions, noting that citizenship is a sovereign matter that cannot be treated as a subject of routine political debate or compromise.
Al Rumaihi added that the decree under discussion carries a sovereign nature linked to state security and stability, distinguishing it from other legislative matters that may allow differing views.
He stressed that there are clear boundaries between legitimate debate and undermining national principles, noting that silence in such matters does not constitute neutrality but a failure to uphold national duty.
Al Rumaihi affirmed that his role in the legislative authority is to represent the will of the people, who consistently reaffirm loyalty to HM the King's leadership.
He said Bahrain will continue, under HM the King's leadership and with the support of its people, to advance its development, noting that national unity remains the foundation for safeguarding the Kingdom's stability and principles.
