Marrakech: Nizar Baraka, Minister of Equipment and Water of Morocco, met with Cheikh Tidiane Di¨ye, Minister of Hydraulics and Sanitation of Senegal, during the 14th General Assembly of the African Ministers' Council on Water (AMCOW). The meeting was primarily focused on advancing bilateral cooperation in the areas of water and sanitation.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions between the ministers aimed at sharing experiences and identifying new prospects for collaboration in these vital sectors. Minister Baraka also engaged in bilateral talks with various other African ministers responsible for water management. These discussions emphasized the development of unconventional water resources, the use of renewable energies in seawater desalination, enhancing energy efficiency, and the importance of strengthening public-private partnerships.
