Manama: Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation (MKF) announced the launch of an advanced cybersecurity and information security training programme for its Rayaat Scholarship students, delivered in collaboration with UniHawk's Learning Lab.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the initiative reflects the Foundation's commitment to investing in national talent and equipping students with practical, high-demand skills to support Bahrain's growing digital economy.
The six-week virtual programme is led by Gabriel Khoury, a Harvard alumnus and former Bain and Company consultant, alongside a panel of industry experts. By bridging theoretical knowledge with hands-on application, the training ensures participants gain global insights and practical experience to enhance their career readiness in this vital sector.
Designed to empower the next generation of Bahraini industry leaders, the curriculum covers key technical domains, including network analysis, ethical penetration testing, web application security, system security and cyber incident response, alongside governance and risk management. To simulate real-world working environments, the programme culminates in a comprehensive capstone project where students execute a simulated end-to-end cybersecurity audit.
MKF was established in 2011 as a non-profit organisation registered and licensed by the Ministry of Social Development in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Foundation strives to create a positive social impact in education and empower local talent to reach their full potential through learning opportunities that equip them with knowledge, skills and practical experience, ultimately benefiting both the individual and the Kingdom.
