Minister of Information Attends 55th Arab Information Ministers Council Session in Cairo

Cairo: Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, participated in the 55th session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers held at the Arab League (AL) headquarters in Cairo. The session was attended by Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of AL; Ambassador Ahmed Rashid Khattabi, Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Media and Communication Sector, along with other Arab ministers of information and heads of delegations.

According to Bahrain News Agency, during the session, Dr. Al Noaimi conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and expressed His Majesty's wishes for the success of the Council's efforts to develop Arab media. He also shared the appreciation of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the ongoing efforts to strengthen joint media cooperation and adapt to current developments.

Dr. Al Noaimi highlighted Bahrain's leadership role in the 54th session of the Council and its commitment to fostering joint Arab action. He noted that Bahrain's approach, guided by the vision of His Majesty King Hamad, emphasizes the importance of promoting integration and achieving shared objectives that align with the aspirations of Arab peoples.

During its previous leadership, Bahrain focused on reinforcing cooperation and underscored the outcomes of the Bahrain Summit, which were endorsed by Arab leaders. Dr. Al Noaimi emphasized the necessity of coordination among Arab states to ensure regional security and stability, serving the collective interests of the region.

Dr. Al Noaimi expressed gratitude to the Arab Republic of Egypt for its hospitality and commended the efforts of the AL Secretariat in organizing the session. He also wished success to the Syrian Arab Republic, which is chairing the current session, in advancing Arab media cooperation.

In a meeting on the sidelines, Dr. Al Noaimi met with Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of AL, to express appreciation for his support during Bahrain's leadership of the previous session. He acknowledged the role of the AL Secretariat's Media and Communication Sector in enhancing Arab media performance and commended the Secretary General's efforts in promoting coordination among member states.
