Manama: Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, announced the opening of submissions for the 2025 edition of the Prime Minister's Journalism Award, with applications being accepted until April 15.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Minister of Information emphasized the progress of Bahraini journalism, attributing it to the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. This support has facilitated the media's role in the Kingdom's development and fostered an innovative media environment that aligns with global trends.
The Minister expressed gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his dedication to supporting journalism. The Prime Minister's Journalism Award continues to serve as a platform recognizing excellence and creativity in the field.
Dr. Al Noaimi stated that the 2025 edition aims to continue the success of past years by encouraging high-quality content production that reflects Bahrain's progress. The award also supports young talents and encourages local newspapers to expand their digital offerings.
He reiterated the importance of Bahraini journalism in promoting awareness and safeguarding information integrity under the leadership of His Majesty the King. He extended his best wishes to all participants.
The 2025 Prime Minister's Journalism Award includes several categories, such as Best Column, Best Investigative Journalism, and Journalist of the Year, among others. Eligible entries must be published in the local press during 2024, and student projects must be from the 2024-2025 academic year. Each media institution may submit one entry per individual per category.
