Migration Ministry opens a special office for Palestinian refugee affairs in Baghdad

Baghdad: The Ministry of Migration and Displacement announced today, Monday, the opening of a special office for Palestinian refugee affairs in Baghdad.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Migration and Displacement, Karim Al-Nouri, said in a statement: “Under the patronage of the Minister of Migration and Displacement, Evan Faeq Jabro, and under the slogan (Gaza, Heroism and Steadfastness), the Ministry of Migration and Displacement today opened its office for Palestinian refugees inside the Haifa Sports Club / Municipalities Complex in Baghdad, to identify the needs of Palestinian nationals inside Iraq.”

He added, “The purpose of opening the office is to increase the institution’s ability to manage the Palestinian refugee file, in addition to simplifying procedures and updating their data, as well as providing legal and humanitarian services to find solutions to the problems and obstacles they face within the ministerial curriculum in simplifying procedures that serve the categories of the ministry’s ca
re.”

For his part, Director General of the Immigration Affairs Department at the Ministry, Safaa Hussein, confirmed that ‘the office will provide a database for Palestinian refugees to support them, in addition to distributing relief aid, and facilitating their access to letters of support through the electronic service to all government institutions.
