The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy confirmed on Saturday that what was being published in some social media about shutting down air conditioners in some schools and government agencies and cutting off electricity in industrial areas, chalets, and farms is inaccurate.
The ministry said in a statement that the routine emergency plan is implemented annually before the summer season and takes into accout all possible scenarios for providing alternatives when need be.
The ministry continues the awareness campaigns to save electricity and water, reduce waste in consumption, and preserve and sustain the country’s resources through the optimal use of them.
