Manama: The Bahrain Inherited Traditional Sports Committee (Mawrooth) expressed appreciation for the support of various public and private entities in contributing to the success of the ongoing traditional games championship at the Post Office Museum in Bab Al Bahrain, which runs until May 7.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Committee thanked the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications for its logistical and organisational support in facilitating participant and visitor access to the venue. It also commended the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities and Bahrain Real Estate Investment Company (Edamah) for providing a culturally rich setting by hosting the event at a key heritage landmark in the capital.
Mawrooth highlighted its cooperation with Bahrain Car Parks Company (Amakin), whose efficient traffic and access management eased the movement of visitors and organisers throughout the event. The Committee noted this as a reflection of the private sector's commitment to supporting cultural and community initiatives.
The Committee also acknowledged the sponsorship of Palace Enterprises, which directly supported the event's logistics and supplies, emphasising its belief in preserving and passing on traditional games as part of Bahrain's national identity.
Mawrooth stressed that joint efforts by public and private sectors played a major role in the success of this heritage event, aimed at reviving traditional Bahraini games and strengthening community ties with the Kingdom's cultural heritage.
The Committee confirmed its intention to continue organising similar initiatives and invited all stakeholders to maintain their support for events that celebrate Bahrain's identity and cultural legacy.
