Yokohama: Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, held a meeting with Shigeru Ishiba, Prime Minister of Japan, to discuss means of enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting took place on the sidelines of the ninth edition of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9) hosted in Yokohama, Japan.
During the meeting, issues of common interest were also reviewed.
