Magnitude 5.3 Earthquake Strikes Northern Philippines

Manama: A magnitude 5.3 earthquake struck Cagayan Province in northern Philippines on Friday.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the tremor was recorded 13 kilometres northeast of Dalupiri Island in Calayan municipality, at a shallow depth of 10 kilometres.

No casualties or damage have been reported so far. Authorities urged residents to remain cautious and prepared for possible aftershocks.
