Magnitude 5.0 Earthquake Strikes South of Fiji

Fiji: A magnitude 5.0 earthquake struck south of the Fiji Islands in the South Pacific.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the quake occurred on Friday, approximately 557 kilometres south of the islands, at a depth of 370 kilometres.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or material damage. The earthquake's depth and location suggest it is unlikely to cause significant impact on the islands.
