Local Newspaper Editors Condemn Iranian Attacks on Bahrain’s Sovereignty

Manama: Editors in chief of local newspapers said the Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain, Gulf states, and countries in the region constitute a violation of state sovereignty and pose a direct threat to security and stability in the Gulf. They noted that such actions contravene international law and the principles of good neighbourliness.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the editors said the people of Bahrain stand united behind the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and expressed confidence in the measures taken by the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to address the repercussions of the attacks and safeguard national security.

They added that Bahrain has demonstrated its ability to confront challenges through the cohesion of its national institutions and the readiness of its military and security services. They highlighted the role of the Bahrain Defence Force and the Ministry of Interior in protecting national security and sovereignty, as well as the responsibility of national media institutions to provide accurate information, counter misinformation, and raise public awareness.
