LMRA Launches New Digital Service for Updating Authorised Person Permissions

Manama: The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has introduced a groundbreaking digital service designed to enable employers to efficiently update the permissions of authorised persons. This service facilitates tasks such as data entry, application submission, invoice payment, and work permit printing, all to be completed within a single working day.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the newly introduced service is entirely digitised, significantly reducing the required documentation by 50 percent. It also features a simplified user interface and experience, alongside the introduction of electronic forms and standardized service information accessible across all channels. Ahmed Ebrahim Al Arabi, Deputy CEO for Operations and Services at the LMRA, emphasized that this service is part of LMRA's ongoing efforts to implement innovative digital solutions aimed at enhancing the efficiency and quality of services while providing beneficiaries with a more straightforward and transparent digital experience.

Al Arabi further highlighted that the service reflects the LMRA's commitment to advancing its services, minimizing the time and effort required by enterprises, and enhancing the efficiency of the labour market system. In alignment with continuous government efforts to modernize and re-engineer services, over 1,300 government services have been documented, translated, and published, with approximately 800 services currently undergoing development and re-engineering across various government sectors.

These initiatives are based on proposals and feedback collected through the National System for Suggestions and Complaints, Tawasul, investor insights, and secret shopper evaluations of government services. The introduction of guidance manuals and service level agreements also plays a crucial role. Collectively, these efforts aim to improve procedural efficiency, enhance service quality, strengthen the beneficiary experience, and support the government's ongoing digital transformation journey.
