LMRA Hosts Bangladesh Ambassador to Discuss Labour Market Initiatives

Manama: The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) received Mohammed Hasan Sarower, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting took place with Saud Abdulla Yateem, Director of the Protection and Grievances Centre Directorate at LMRA.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Ambassador was briefed on the Kingdom of Bahrain's efforts to develop the labour market and enhance the work environment. The discussions included a focus on national initiatives to combat trafficking in persons, with particular attention given to the role of the Protection and Grievances Centre. This centre offers preventive, advisory, and legal services, along with shelter for victims and potential victims of trafficking.

The meeting also reviewed various awareness programmes and initiatives conducted by the Authority in collaboration with international organisations and diplomatic missions. These efforts aim to support anti-trafficking measures and raise awareness among labour stakeholders about their rights and responsibilities.
