Manama: The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has implemented a total of 1,317 inspection campaigns and visits from August 24 to 30, 2025. These efforts led to the detention of nine violating and irregular workers and the deportation of 92 violators.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the inspection campaigns and visits uncovered various violations related to the provisions of several regulating laws, particularly the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and the Residency Laws in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Legal measures were taken in response to these violations.
The LMRA reported that 1,303 inspections were conducted on various shops across all governorates, in addition to 14 joint inspection campaigns. These included five campaigns in the Capital Governorate, two in the Muharraq Governorate, four in the Northern Governorate, and three in the Southern Governorate.
Several government entities participated in these campaigns, including the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), the respective Police Directorates of the governorates, the General Directorate of Traffic, the Social Insurance Organization, and the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications.
The LMRA emphasized the importance of continued joint coordination with government agencies to intensify inspection campaigns across the Kingdom. This coordination aims to address violations or practices that adversely affect the stability and competitiveness of the labour market, as well as the economic and social security of the Kingdom.
The Labour Market Regulatory Authority also renewed its call for public support in addressing illegal labour practices. It encouraged the public to report violations through the electronic form on its website, by calling the authority's call centre, or via the government's Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul).
