LMRA conducts five joint inspection campaigns across all the governorates

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), Ministry of Interior (MOI) and Social Insurance Organization (SIO) continue intensive joint efforts to activate regulatory tools to address illegal practices and unlawful employment, to preserve the components of the labour Market and ensure fairness, competitiveness, and stability.

LMRA announced the implementation of five inspection campaigns that resulted in a number of violations registered related to the provisions of the LMRA law and the Residence law in the Kingdom, the violations were noted and referred for legal action.

It added that two inspection campaigns took place in coordination with the General Directorate for Criminal Investigation and Forensic Evidence in the Capital and Muharraq Governorates, while the third campaign was undertaken in the Southern Governorate in coordination with the Nationality, Passport and Residence Affairs (NPRA) and the Governorate’s respective Police Directorate.

The fourth campaign was undertaken in coordination with the Social Insurance Organization (SIO) in the Northern Governorate and the fifth campaign was held in coordination with the Sentences Enforcement Directorate at the Ministry of Interior in the Capital Governorate.

LMRA renewed its call to all members of the society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing illegal labour practices, by reporting violations via the electronic form on the authority’s website www.lmra.gov.bh or by calling the authority’s call centre on 17506055.
