LMRA Conducts Extensive Inspection Campaigns Across Bahrain

Manama: The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) announced the implementation of 1,775 inspection campaigns and visits during the period of 7 to 13 December 2025, resulting in the detention of 38 violating and irregular workers, while 61 violators were deported. The inspection campaigns and visits also monitored violations related to the provisions of several regulating laws, especially those pertaining to the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and Residency Laws in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Legal measures were taken regarding the observed violations.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Authority carried out 1,738 inspection visits on various shops across all governorates and conducted 37 joint inspection campaigns. These included 21 campaigns in the Capital Governorate, 4 in the Muharraq Governorate, and 6 each in the Northern and Southern Governorates. The campaigns involved participation from various government entities, including the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), the Governorate's respective Police Directorate, the General Directorate of Crime Detection and Forensic Science, the General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority.

The Authority affirmed the continuation of joint coordination with government agencies to intensify inspection campaigns in all governorates of the Kingdom. The goal is to address any violations or practices that negatively affect the stability and competitiveness of the labour market or harm the economic and social security of the Kingdom.

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority renewed its call on all members of society to support government agencies' efforts in addressing illegal labour practices. They encouraged the public to report violations via the electronic form on the authority's website,, by calling the authority's call centre on 17506055, or through the government's Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul).
