The UN Envoy to Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily, said that Libya can no longer tolerate another temporary government, and the people are concerned about the continuation of the division, which may create a situation that threatens to lose Libya’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The UNSMIL’s Facebook page quoted Bathily as saying in a private interview,The citizens do not want their country to be led by fragmented security and military institutions anymore.”
According to the same source, Bathily stressed the need for a unified government that creates conditions conducive to holding elections.
