Liaison Officers of Arab Regional Offices on Boycott of Israeli Occupation session kicks off

The 96th session of the Liaison Officers of Arab Regional Offices on Boycott of Israel Occupation Conference kicked off Tuesday at the Arab League headquarters, chaired by Assistant Secretary-General for Palestine and Occupied Arab Territories Ambassador Saeed Abu Ali, with Kuwait’s participation.

The League said in a statement that the conference discusses several topics related to the Arab economic boycott of the Israeli occupation, in implementation of the league’s resolutions, taken at the foreign ministers meeting and the Arab summit, held in Bahrain last May.

The May Arab Summit affirmed taking all necessary measures to ensure the boycott of all companies and business establishments that operate in the illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian and Arab territories and holding them responsible for the consequences of their illegal acts.

The conference agenda includes many topics related to the Arab boycott, established through enforcing the ban, including companies on the boycott list, w
arning or removing other companies from the ban list for their response to the boycott provisions, and focusing on continuing to activate the regional boycott offices in Arab countries.

They also discuss a special item regarding the international boycott movement against the Israeli occupation (BDS) by monitoring its activities and achievements, which express the solidarity of the peoples of the world with the Palestinians.

The statement stressed the importance of the role of the boycott in exposing companies and institutions that support the colonial and apartheid regime and cooperate with it.

The State of Kuwait was represented in the 96th session of the Conference by Second Secretary at the Permanent Mission of Kuwait to the Arab League Bader Al-Muhaileb
