Manama: The Legislative Authority recently held a joint meeting with Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, to review the outcomes of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s participation in the first meeting of the Board of Peace, which took place last week in Washington.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was chaired by Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, and Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council. Ghanim bin Fadhel Al Buainain, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, along with senior officials from both chambers and relevant ministries, were also in attendance.

The Speaker of the Council of Representatives and the Chairman of the Shura Council expressed their approval of His Majesty’s participation, highlighting it as a demonstration of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s dedication to peaceful conflict resolution. The Foreign Minister provided a briefing to the members on the meeting’s outcomes, focusing on Bahrain’s support for a just and comprehensive peace. This includes the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
