Labour Ministry Honours Organisations for Midday Work Ban Awareness Efforts

Manama: The Ministry of Labour honoured several organisations supporting the enforcement of Ministerial Decision (3) of 2013, amended by Decision (11) of 2025, which prohibits outdoor work under direct sunlight from 12 pm to 4 pm. This year, the ban was enforced from June 15 to September 15, 2025. These organisations helped raise awareness, organise workshops, and support events to protect workers from heat-related risks.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Yousif bin Abdulhussein Khalaf, Minister of Legal Affairs and Acting Minister of Labour, highlighted the high compliance rate, employer cooperation, and ongoing efforts to develop labour laws and promote workplace safety. The ministry carried out extensive inspections, achieving near-total compliance.

The honoured organisations included Bapco Energies, Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company, Aluminium Bahrain, Bahrain Financial Harbour, Talabat Services, and the Bahrain Health and Safety Society.
