Labour Minister Leads Crucial Meeting on Occupational Safety and Health

Manama: Yousif Abdulhussain Khalaf, Minister of Labour and Minister of Legal Affairs, chaired the fourth meeting of the Occupational Safety and Health Council, held via video conference.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the council reviewed various topics focused on enhancing the occupational safety and health system and ensuring safe working environments within the Kingdom of Bahrain. Central to the discussions were the implementation of awareness and guidance plans concerning occupational safety and health requirements, along with preventive measures to be adopted at workplaces.

The council also examined the progress of preparations for the upcoming sixth National Occupational Safety and Health Conference and Exhibition. This event is anticipated to play a significant role in promoting best practices in workplace safety and health.

In addition, discussions included national efforts to ensure employers comply with the ban on midday work during the summer months. This measure is part of a broader initiative aimed at reinforcing preventive measures at workplaces and production sites across the kingdom.
