Manama: Yousif bin Abdulhussein Khalaf, the Minister of Labour and Minister of Legal Affairs, met with Babak Hashemi, Managing Director of Majed Al Futtaim Retail Group. This meeting is part of ongoing engagements with leading private sector employers recognized for their efforts in hiring Bahraini nationals. Notably, Majed Al Futtaim Retail Group was ranked among the top 10 employers of Bahrainis in the first quarter of 2026.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting covered the company's initiatives to attract, develop, and retain Bahraini talent. Discussions also included plans to create more employment opportunities for citizens, reinforcing the company's commitment to supporting the local workforce.
Khalaf emphasized the critical role of the private sector in achieving national employment objectives. He commended Al Futtaim Group for its ongoing collaboration with the ministry's initiatives aimed at enhancing the recruitment of Bahraini jobseekers.
