Kyrgyz President Japarov Strengthens Ties with Bahrain’s Shura Council

Manama: His Excellency Sadyr Japarov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic, met with Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, during an official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting underscored the importance of enhancing bilateral relations and addressed regional and international developments.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the visit included a bilateral meeting with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Discussions focused on the strong Kyrgyz-Bahraini relations and the growing cooperation between the two countries. President Japarov emphasized the shared interests that bind the two nations and commended Bahrain's ongoing development efforts led by His Majesty the King, which aim to promote peace, dialogue, and coexistence on a global scale.

President Japarov expressed his commitment to deepening cooperation with Bahrain, particularly in the economic, trade, and tourism sectors. He extended an official invitation to the Shura Council Chairman to visit the Kyrgyz Republic, furthering the dialogue between the two nations.

The Shura Council Chairman welcomed President Japarov's visit, highlighting its significance in enhancing bilateral ties. He noted the opportunity it presented to discuss regional and international developments and to explore ways to further develop mutual cooperation and understanding. The Chairman emphasized the council's dedication to enhancing parliamentary cooperation with the Kyrgyz Supreme Council and coordinating positions on key regional and international issues within parliamentary forums.

The Chairman also highlighted the active diplomatic consultations between the two countries, which reflect a shared commitment to advancing long-standing relations. The meeting was attended by notable figures including Dr. Jihad Abdullah Al Fadhel, Second Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council; Dr. Mohammed Ali Hassan Ali, Chairman of the Public Utilities and Environment Committee; Mohammed Ghassan Mohammed Adnan Sheikho, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kyrgyz Republic, residing in Beijing; and Dr. Fawzia Yousif Al Jeeb, Advisor to the Chairman.
