Kyrgyz President and Chinese Foreign Minister Commit to Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation

Bishkek: His Excellency Sadyr Japarov, President of Kyrgyzstan, received Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, with both sides pledging to strengthen cooperation in various fields. Noting that Kyrgyzstan-China relations have entered the best period in history, President Japarov expressed Kyrgyzstan's readiness to work with China to maintain close high-level exchanges, expand bilateral trade, and advance the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Japarov emphasized Kyrgyzstan's appreciation and support for the four major global initiatives proposed by His Excellency Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China, and expressed readiness to strengthen coordination with China within the United Nations and the China-Central Asia mechanism.

Minister Wang stated that China would collaborate with Kyrgyzstan to follow the consensus reached by the two heads of state, turning cooperation blueprints into concrete actions and advancing their respective modernization. This would enrich the China-Kyrgyzstan comprehensive strategic partnership.

The two sides aim to promote new growth drivers in clean energy, digital trade, and green mining. They also plan to deepen people-to-people exchanges to comprehensively increase cooperation. Kyrgyzstan will work with China to enhance connectivity through strengthened cooperation in civil aviation, logistics, and border ports, as well as deepen security cooperation.

On the same day, Wang Yi engaged in the first China-Kyrgyzstan foreign ministers' strategic dialogue with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev.
