Sulaibiya: Dr. Reem Al Fulaj, Minister of State for Development and Sustainability Affairs of the State of Kuwait, affirmed that Kuwait's food security system is "stable and maintains a high degree of readiness," stressing the continued flow of food supplies and the availability of goods in local markets.
According to Bahrain News Agency, this statement was made during Dr. Al Fulaj's inspection visit to the food testing laboratory and land import port in Sulaibiya. The visit aimed to review the laboratory testing and control of imported food and ensure compliance with approved health and technical requirements.
Dr. Al Fulaj informed the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that all food shipments entering Kuwait are subject to precise testing and analysis according to the highest international standards before entering the markets. She highlighted that food security is a fundamental pillar of national stability and emphasized the need to promote a culture of responsible consumption and reduce food waste to support sustainability and preserve resources.
