Kuwaiti Prime Minister Holds Talks with Vietnamese Counterpart at Bayan Palace

Kuwait city: His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait, met with Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and his delegation at Bayan Palace.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was held to discuss means to enhance bilateral relations and expand cooperation across various sectors to serve their shared interests.

Both sides reviewed opportunities to widen cooperation and exchanged views on regional and international issues of common concern, reiterating their commitment to advancing strategic relations into new areas of regular, comprehensive collaboration. They signed a protocol amending the visa exemption agreement for holders of diplomatic and official passports between Kuwait and Vietnam, aiming to facilitate official travel and deepen cooperation.

A memorandum of understanding was also signed between the Saud Al Nasser Al Sabah Kuwait Diplomatic Institute and the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam to enhance cooperation in diplomatic training and the exchange of expertise. The signing was attended by the respective foreign ministers of both countries.
