Manama, Shaikh Thamer Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain emphasised that Bahrain’s hosting of the 33rd Arab Summit embodies the visionary approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to foster collective Arab action, thereby consolidating the unity of the Arab nation and shaping a brighter future for its people.
In an interview with Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the ambassador commended Bahrain’s exceptional work in meticulously planning and coordinating efforts to hold the summit. In this regard, he emphasised Kuwait’s support to Bahrain in ensuring the success of this summit, which is held amidst challenging circumstances facing the Arab world.
The ambassador said that the Bahrain Summit was a key opportunity to consolidate efforts and discuss regional and global issues and challenges, as it is considered a platform for consultations and decision-making to promote security an
d stability in the region.
Shaikh Thamer Jaber Al Ahmad highlighted the Bahraini-Kuwaiti efforts in supporting joint Arab action and their constructive role in consolidating peace, stability and dialogue between countries. He also emphasised their commitment to strengthen dialogue and proximity among the Arab peoples and spread the culture of peace and harmony.
He said that holding the summit comes at a critical timing, at which the Arab region is facing pressing political and economic challenges that necessitate unity and integration among Arab nations.
