Kuwait Welcomes Security Council’s Condemnation of Houthi Attacks on Saudi Arabia

Kuwait city: The State of Kuwait welcomed the statement issued by UN Security Council members condemning missile attacks by the Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia since July 13 and attacks on commercial vessels since July 22.

According to Bahrain News Agency, in a statement by the Foreign Ministry, Kuwait expressed its full appreciation for the statement's emphasis on compliance with international law and relevant Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2216, respect for Yemen's sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, and rejection of actions threatening regional security and freedom of maritime navigation.

The ministry renewed Kuwait's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and support for all measures it takes to safeguard its sovereignty and security. It also renewed Kuwait's support for the legitimate Yemeni government and the UN Secretary General's Special Envoy for Yemen in efforts to achieve peace, security and stability in Yemen.
