Kuwait city: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait summoned Zaid Shanshol, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Iraq in Kuwait, and handed him an official protest note over the storming and acts of vandalism targeting the Consulate General of Kuwait in Basra. According to Bahrain News Agency, Aziz Al Daihani, Acting Deputy Foreign Minister, described the incident as a violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, particularly the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations. He reiterated Kuwait's rejection of such acts and called on the Iraqi government to take measures against those responsible and prevent their recurrence. Al Daihani emphasized Kuwait's right to take necessary measures to protect its diplomatic missions in accordance with international law.
