Manama: The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy of the State of Kuwait announced that another power generation and water desalination station came under attack, causing a fire in one of its components. According to Bahrain News Agency, the ministry stated that precautionary operational measures were taken, including the shutdown of a number of generation units to ensure the safety of the station and its personnel and maintain the stability of the electricity network. The ministry further explained that emergency teams responded immediately in coordination with the Kuwait Fire Force and the relevant authorities. Operational and emergency plans were activated following the incident to ensure the continuity of electricity and water services and minimise any potential disruption. Technical and operational monitoring continues around the clock. In a bid to support the restoration efforts, the ministry urged citizens and residents to rationalise electricity consumption, particularly between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., to reduce pressure on the electricity network and expedite the return to full operational readiness.
